After filling in for John Muse admirably last night, Pat Nagle stopped all 27 shots he faced tonight for his first professional shutout. He had three shutouts last year as a senior at Ferris State. Nagle stopped 50 of 51 shots this weekend, lowering his GAA by a half-a-goal.

After two straight losses to the Everblades the Nailers obviously had enough of getting beat and made it known Saturday night. Wheeling outshot Florida (6-7-0-1) 45-17 en route to a 4-1 win. John Muse started his fifth straight game in net for Florida and took the loss despite keeping the ‘Blades tied 1-1 entering the third period. After his hat trick Friday night, Lightning prospect Alex Hutchings was scoreless Saturday with only one shot on goal.

Florida (6-6-0-1) reached the .500 mark in a big way, beating Wheeling 7-2. Lightning prospect Alex Hutchings (pictured), a former goal-scoring star with OHL Barrie, had his first pro hat trick in the game. He is now tied for sixth in the league in goals, five behind leader Eric Lampe of Las Vegas. John Muse started in net again for Florida, meaning Nagle was wearing the baseball hat on the bench again. Muse is on a four-game win streak.
