After winning four straight games, Zador has lost his last two. Sarnia scored five unanswered goals to turn a 2-1 deficit into a 6-2 win, including four in the third period alone.

Ashton scored his second goal of the game early in the third period on the power play to pull the Hurricanes to within one at 4-3. Later he’d set up linemate Carter Bancks for the game winner.

Moncton allowed the game’s first four goals – all in the first period – but climbed back to within one with three of their own in the second period. The comeback ended there.

Panik was a career-high plus-four in the game. Taylor Hall had a hat trick and an assist for Windsor.

Zador failed to win his fifth straight game, but put up a good showing in a close loss to Guelph. The Storm broke a 1-1 tie with 14 seconds left in the second period.

Barberio’s four game points streak came to an end in a loss to provincial rival St. John.

Zador won his fifth straight start when he went 3 for 3 in the shootout to beat the Soo. He’s now dropped his GAA from near 6 to under 3. The Greyhounds have lost five straight, but at least they earned a point in this one. No official news as to why DeCoste – who has been struggling despite being expected this year to bring offensive leadership - was scratched.
Windsor Spitfires 4 @ Plymouth Whalers 0

Season Totals: 11 GP, 4-2-6, +8, 2 PIM
Panik’s short three game scoreless streak came to an end when he scored in the first period. Playing on a line with likely 2010 first overall pick Taylor Hall and Devils third rounder Adam Henrique, it should be just a matter of time for Panik to explode offensively.

Ottawa broke their seven game winless streak, but Sointu remains out of the lineup.

Oshawa Generals 5 @ Belleville Bulls 3
G Michael Zador, OSH: Win, 34 saves on 37 shots
Season: 6 GP, 4-1-1-0, 3.49 GAA, .896 sv%, 1 SO
Zador won his third straight game, defeating the division-rival Bulls in Belleville. With the win, Oshawa (5-3-2-0) climbed into a first place tie with Peterborough and Kingston in the East Division. Zador was complimented by his coach in the Oshawa Express for his good play recently (Click here to read).
Meanwhile, with Jaroslav Janus making his pro debut last night for Norfolk, his junior team in Erie lost yet again and have the league’s fewest points at 6. Erie has been plagued by the relatively unexpected losses of Janus and center Ryan O’Reilly (2009 second round pick/33rd overall), who’s still with the Colorado Avalanche.

Chilliwack Bruins 1 @ Lethbridge Hurricanes 0
