C Brendan O’Donnell, PEN: 0-1-1, 0 PIM
Season totals: 40 GP, 16-34-50, 18 PIM
O’Donnell earned an assist on the Vees game winning goal scored on the power play midway through the third period. The assist gave O’Donnell 50 points for the year. He had 61 in 55 games last year for the Winnipeg South Blues of the MJHL.
USHL
Waterloo Black Hawks 2 @ Fargo Force 7
C Jimmy Mullin, FGO: 0-0-0, E, 0 PIM, 4 SOG
Season totals: 24 GP, 14-17-31, +17, 18 PIM
Somehow Fargo scored seven goals and their leading scorer, Mullin, didn’t figure in on any of them. He’s likely too busy smiling about the win to care.
QMJHL

D Adam Janosik, GAT: 0-1-1, +1, 0 PIM, 4 SOG, 0 Hits
Season Totals: 34 GP, 4-13-17, +5, 20 PIM
Coming off a strong WJC performance in which he was Slovakia’s second leading scorer to fellow Lightning prospect Richard Panik, Janosik earned the primary assist on Gatineau’s first goal en route to helping the Olympiques to a big road win.
OHL
Mississauga St. Michael’s Majors 5 @ Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds 1
D Brock Beukeboom, SSM: 0-0-0, E, 0 PIM
Season Totals: 33 GP, 0-5-5, -6, 48 PIM
The Soo was outshot 35-16 in the game. Not good.

Season Totals: 21 GP, 12-3-1-1, 3.34 GAA, .881 sv%, 1 SO
Owen Sound had a 2-0 lead to start the game, but Kingston scored four unanswered goals to win. Kingston’s Eric Gudbranson, the Panthers’ first rounder last year, scored his fourth of the season in his first game back from Team Canada.
WHL

RW Brett Connolly, PG: 1-1-2, E, 2 PIM (elbowing), *First Star*
Season totals: 31 GP, 23-15-38, -4, 10 PIM
After not scoring in his time for Team Canada, Connolly had a goal and an assist and earned First Star in his return to Prince George. His goal came after he toe-dragged past a defender. The Cougars gave up a third period goal to the Giants, however, and took the loss. With the win, the Giants tied the Cougars for tops in the B.C. Division, though Prince George has two games in hand.
Saskatoon Blades 5 @ Prince Albert Raiders 1
D Teigan Zahn, SAS: 0-0-0, +1, 0 PIM

C Jimmy Mullin, FGO: 1-1-2, +2, 0 PIM, 2 SOG
Season totals: 21 GP, 13-16-29, +16, 16 PIM
Mullin scored at 3:16 of overtime to lift the Force to a road win in division-leading Dubuque. He also added an assist on Fargo’s other goal, yet the decision makers in Iowa decided he shouldn’t be a game star. Two Saints were first and second star, respectively. Mullin has a five game point streak in which he has 10 points. He has 15 points in his last seven games.
OHL
Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds 6 @ Sudbury Wolves 3

Season Totals: 30 GP, 0-5-5, -8, 46 PIM
Beukeboom scored seven times last year, but after 30 games the Soo captain is still looking for his first goal of the season.

Season totals: 28 GP, 1-13-14, +11, 6 PIM

Season Totals: 18 GP, 10-3-1-1, 3.41 GAA, .878 sv%, 1 SO
Zador won last time out, but was back in his familiar backup role for the Attack Wednesday. The Attack put up a snowman against Barrie, paced by four points each by Joey Hishon (Avalanche) and Andrew Fritsch (2011 draft).

D Teigan Zahn, SAS: 0-0-0, -1, 0 PIM

North American Juniors Game Night: 12/28/10
Submitted by pete on December 29, 2010 - 00:02Light night in the junior ranks with a healthy chunk of the Lightning's prospects participating in the U20 WJC's:
OHL
Owen Sound 7 @ Barrie 6 (SO)
Geoffrey Schemitsch, Owen Sound, 0-1-1, E, 0 PIM
Season totals: 27 GP, 1-13-14, +9, 6 PIM
Michael Zador, Owen Sound, Win, 31/37, 5.54 GAA, .838 sv%
Season totals: 11-3-2, 0 SO, 3.41 GAA, .878 sv%
Geoffrey Schemitsch assisted on a Liam Heelis goal in Owen Sound's 7-6 shootout victory over Barrie. Heelis is rocking the black rimmed glasses in his roster picture, proving ZZ Tops' old adage that every girl's crazy about a sharp dressed man. Michael Zador continued to lead a charmed life, stopping 3 of 4 shooters to steal the shootout win despite an abysmal .838 save percentage in the contest. Only in the Lightning organization can a man have a sub .880 save percentage and be 8 games over .500 on the season.
QMJHL
Montreal 3 @ Shawinigan 4 (SO)
Charles Landry, Montreal, 0-2-2, +1, 0 PIM, 1 SOG
Season totals: 28 GP, 5-21-26, +14, 16 PIM
Meanwhile, in the "Q", Charles Landry assisted on the final two goals of a Montreal comeback by Xavier Ouellet and David Rose to help force overtime, but the Juniors still fell 4-3 in the shootout. Shawiningan's Gabriel Girard was named the game's number one star after turning away 37 of 40 shots and 2 of 4 attempts for the shootout victory.

Beukeboom notched his fifth point of the year, but the Greyhounds couldn’t earn that second point on the road.
Niagara IceDogs 5 @ Owen Sound Attack 2
D Geoffrey Schemitsch, OS: 0-0-0, -3, 0 PIM
Season totals: 26 GP, 1-12-13, +9, 6 PIM
