After winning his first game as a member of the Storm, Wilcox has dropped his last four, though he has managed to maintain a respectable save percentage through the slump.

Gatineau broke a four game losing streak and Janosik snapped a five game scoreless streak as the Olympiques avenged an overtime loss to the Eagles earlier in the week with a 5-2 home win Friday. Emile Poirier (2013 draft) had a hat trick for Gatineau, which doubled the rookie’s goal output for the year. Janosik, as expected, was named to Team Slovakia’s preliminary roster for the upcoming U20 World Junior Championships. He had five assists in six games for Slovakia at last year’s WJCs.

Namestnikov (pictured) tied a career high with four points and his linemate (and Lightning camper) Seth Griffith had a hat trick and an assist to lead London to a 7-4 home win over the Petes. Namestnikov’s four points were a season high for him, but he had a four point game (3+1) last February against Barrie. His four assists in the game were a career high.

QMJHL Note: Teenage phenom Nathan MacKinnon (pictured), 16, had five goals for Halifax in a win over Quebec Saturday night. The Halifax native has 19 goals and 49 points in 29 games so far this season. Expect him to go first overall in the 2013 NHL draft.

Namestnikov’s four game point streak was snapped in a road win over Geoffrey Schemitsch-less Owen Sound. Namestnikov’s teammate, Andreas Athanasiou (2012 draft eligible), had four goals in the game. Schemitsch hasn’t played since November 12 because of an upper body injury.

After a strong debut for Tri-City, Wilcox has lost his last two games. The Storm and Force were deadlocked at 3 entering the third period and Wilcox’s Storm had a 4-3 lead at 7:25. Fargo then exploded for three goals and the rest was history. Wilcox’s goals against average rose by over a goal after the loss.

Lincoln exacted some revenge on the Storm for a loss Thursday night with a close win Saturday night. Wilcox stopped 35 shots but couldn’t save the Storm from defeat in his home debut.

Wilcox made his Storm debut after being traded by Green Bay to Tri-City for a first round pick on Monday and earned a First Star for his performance. The future Minnesota Golden Gopher, now the No.1 for a USHL team, stopped 38 of 40 shots in regulation, four of four in overtime, and three of three in the shootout to give his new team a win. The Storm was outshot 44-27 in the game, including 4-0 in overtime when Lincoln was awarded a power play. Wilcox was coming off a shutout in his final game with the Gamblers.
