Kucherov (pictured) had a goal and two assists to give him six points in three games to start his North American hockey career. His line combined for 10 points on the night as Mikhail Grigorenko (Sabres) had four assists and Adam Erne (2013) had a hat trick. Kucherov was third star for the second-straight game. It’s his turn to sit out the next game as fellow import player Nick Sorensen sat out on Friday night. The Remparts can only dress two per game. Grigorenko is the other import on the roster.

Paquette played his second game since returning from a suspension, and was issued a misconduct for “continuing or attempting to continue a fight” after squaring off with Jack Nevins. He had an assist after the misconduct. Teammate Chris Clapperton (undrafted) had a hat trick for the Armada.

Val-d’Or Foreurs 6 @ Victoriaville Tigres 4

Six different players scored for Val-d’Or, who defeated the Tigres in Victoriaville, 6-4. The game was 2-2 entering the third period.

Blujus earned his fourth point in his last five games, but Brampton fell in Kingston, 6-3. Blujus also fell to a season-worst minus-12 rating. His career low is minus-14, set two years ago when Blujus was a rookie. He was plus-4 last season.

Daniel Catenacci (Sabres) and Gemel Smith (Stars) each had two goals and two assists for Owen Sound in their win over Erie. Jake Dotchin has one point in his last 14 games and none in his last five.

Richard extended his point streak to 12 games with two assists against Oshawa on Friday night. In a game broadcast on NHL Network, Richard earned his first assist when he slid a pass back to Matt Finn at the point and Finn’s shot banked off the dasher of the end boards and hit goaltender Daniel Altshuller in the shoulder before falling over the goal line. Richard’s second assist came on the power play when he executed a give-and-go with Jets pick Scott Kosmachuck. Richard fed Kosmachuck in the slot for a grade-A scoring chance.

Peterborough Petes 1 @ Mississauga Steelheads 4

Leafs pick Stuart Percy had a goal and an assist to pace the Steelheads to a 4-1 win over Peterborough on Friday night. The Petes broke up Spencer Martin’s shutout bid with 13 seconds left in regulation. Lightning prospect goaltender Andrei Vasilevski was drafted by Mississauga, but the Steelheads were not able to bring him to the CHL this season.

Paquette returned from a 1-game suspension and scored what turned out to be the game-winning goal in the Armada’s 2-1 win in Saint John. He was just six of 17 on faceoffs in the win. Paquette, who will represent the QMJHL next week in the Canada-Russia Subway Super Series, was suspended for a hit to the head of a defenseless player last week. He is tied for fourth on the Armada in scoring with 18 points, four behind leader Christopher Clapperton (undrafted).

Blainville-Boisbriand bounced back from a Friday loss with a big win on Saturday. Paquette was suspended for the game. He took a roughing penalty late in Friday’s match against Moncton, hitting an unsuspecting Wildcat in the head with his shoulder after the whistle. Moncton scored on the ensuing power play to win the game, 3-2. When Paquette’s scratch was announced tonight at home, the crowd reportedly applauded.

Jordan Binnington (Rangers) stopped 34 of 35 shots to lead Owen Sound to a 3-1 home win over Sudbury.

Richard extended his point streak to 10 games with a third period assist. He did not participated in the shootout, which was won by Guelph, 1-0.

The Petes had lost five consecutive one-goal games, but came out on top at home against Saginaw on Saturday. Peterborough had only one win in their last 10 games coming into Saturday’s contest. Slater Koekkoek had an assist to give him points in two straight games and six of his last seven. He has three points and a plus-4 rating in his last two games.

Kucherov sat out the game as Nick Sorensen was back in the lineup for Quebec. The Remparts can only dress two import players per game and right now the club has three possible starters from overseas: Sorensen, Kucherov, and Sabres first rounder Mikhail Grigorenko, who had a goal and an assist on Friday against the Cataractes. Adam Erne (2013) had four goals and an assist to pace the Remparts.

In a game broadcast on NHL Network, Paquette took four minor penalties and the Armada lost to Moncton, 3-2. The game winning goal was scored in the final minute of regulation with Paquette in the penalty box for roughing. Paquette was 10/27 on faceoffs in the game.

Sergeev was back on the scoresheet with an assist and was second on the team with five shots on goal, but the Foreurs fell in a shootout to the Oceanic, 4-3 (2-1).

Matt Puempel (Senators) scored twice for the Rangers, who won in a shootout, 3-2. Kitchener won the skills competition, 1-0. Kitchener goaltender John Gibson (Ducks) stopped 42 of 44 shots in regulation and overtime, then 5 of 5 in the shootout.

Richard extended his point streak to nine games, which is tied for the second-longest current streak in the league (Connor McDavid, 13). Richard has two goals and 14 assists in those nine games.

The Armada entered the second period down 1-0, but exploded for four goals then added three more in the third period for a 7-1 win. Paquette (pictured), who will represent the QMJHL in the upcoming Canada-Russia Subway Series, scored his seventh goal of the season and added two assists. His 17 points are tied for second on the club, two behind Chris Clapperton, who went undrafted in the summer. The Armada outshot the defending Memorial Cup champs, 42-12. Blainville-Boisbriand was ranked No. 5 in the latest CHL top-10 rankings.

Val-d’Or Foreurs 3 @ Rouyn-Noranda Huskies 4 (SO)
