Baie-Comeau Drakkar 8 @ Quebec Remparts 2
W Nikita Kucherov, QUE: 1-0-1, -1, 0 PIM, 2 SOG, 0 Hits
Kucherov (pictured) made his long-awaited North American debut and scored early in the second period to give Quebec a 2-1 lead (WATCH). He showed a good burst and slick stickwork on the goal, which was scored on the forehand to the goalie's blocker side. There will be plenty more where that came from. Kucherov had missed the first six weeks of the season recovering from May shoulder surgery. That 2-1 lead quickly evaporated and the Drakkar put a snowman on the scoreboard in Bonhomme’s backyard. Quebec came into the game ranked No. 3 in all of Canadian juniors.
