Hard to believe about 24 hours ago the Crunch were a bounce away from making this a very competitive series. Clearly the sting of that Double OT loss carried over to Game Three and now the Crunch are in a seemingly impossible 3-0 hole.

That's a tough one to take, given the Crunch were just a bounce away from putting themselves in a really good position in this series. As it is, there's no need to panic. It's not a series until someone drops a home game. But, it does put a lot of pressure on Syracuse to win the next two tilts at home to get the series back to level.

Mitchell Stephens, Matthew Peca, and Gabriel Dumont were the game's three stars.

Well that was an interesting series considering the bluster from the Americans coming into the series based on their late regular season play against the Crunch. One of these teams clearly had an extra gear or two and the other was Rochester.

AHL Game Night: 4-11-18 Crunch at Americans

Ingram defeats Americans almost single-handedly.

SYR-1
RCH-0

Connor Ingram pitched a 38 save shutout for the victory, helping Syracuse overcome a staggering 38-18 shot deficit in the game. Ingram is now sporting a very stout 20-11-6 record with a 2.33 GAA, .914 save percentage, and 4 shutouts. It's a rookie campaign I dare say has exceeded expectations given the past performance of similar Lightning goaltending prospects, and points to the fact Ingram could have higher upside.

Rochester looks to potentially be Syracuse's first round opponent in the playoffs, so there's positive and negative to consider in the night's victory heading into the postseason.
