Ingram, Connor

NHL Game Night: 11-29-18 Sabres at Lightning

Dump Truck avenges McDonagh.

BUF-4
TB-5

Louis Domingue... was not good, but he made a handful of critical saves in the Third Period to limp over the finish line and get the W. Allowing 4 goals on 22 shots is not a stat line you typically can get away with, needless to say. Those second and fourth goals allowed were just not acceptable. The second goal allowed that climbed up and over him was just laughably bad.

First Period
2:59 TB Girardi (2), (Killorn, Hedman)
8:49 BUF Girgensons (2), (Ristolainen, Elie)
9:45 BUF Reinhart (4), (Eichel, Bogosian)
10:28 TB Killorn (4), (Miller)
15:55 TB Kucherov (10), (Point, Cernak)

Second Period
5:39 BUF Reinhart (5), (Eichel, Nelson)

Third Period
2:29 BUF Thompson (4), (Mittelstadt)
4:12 TB Stamkos (8), (Hedman, Kucherov)(PP)
14:19 TB Paquette (5), (Sergachev, Palat)

Cedric Paquette and Nikita Kucherov were the game's first and second stars, respectively. Fitting for Dump Truck to get the GWG and rub some salt in the wound of a Sabres game that stepped over the line taking Ryan McDonagh out of the game and stepping over the line physically on more than one occasion. Paquette gives as good as he gets, and then scalded the winning snapper on the rush to put away the upstarts from upstate New York.

Complete possession dominance by the Lightning led to a wide disparity in shots and scoring chances, but goaltending can be a great equalizer when you get it... or don't get it. I'll be interested to see if Connor Ingram gets his first NHL game Saturday to give Domingue a little rest.

Describe armageddon in eight words: "The official artisanal cheese of the Buffalo Sabres." What?

Mathieu Joseph was -2 with 2 penalty minutes, 1 shot, and 2 hits in 11:30.

Anthony Cirelli was +2 with 1 shot and 1 hit in 11:33.

Erik Cernak was -1 with a helper, 3 shots, and 1 blocked shot in 16:59.

Alex Barre-Boulet quietly has assembled a seven game point streak that continued tonight. He's just a touch below a point a game at 15 through 17 appearances.

Syracuse is now 9-0-1 in their last ten games, which has propelled them into second place in the North Division. They sit three points back of division leader Rochester with a couple of games in hand and they've moved three points clear now of Cleveland and Utica in the process.

AHL Game Night: 11-21-18 Crunch at Devils

Surging Crunch move into a tie for second in the North Division.

SYR-4
BNG-1

Connor Ingram allowed just 1 goal on 30 shots for the victory, including some highlight reel variety stops in the mix.

First Period
3:33 BNG Pietila (5), (Gignac)(SH)

Third Period
19:06 SYR Conacher (8), (unassisted)(EN)

Carter Verhaeghe and Boris Katchouk were the game's first and third stars.

The Crunch are now unbeaten in their last eight games including seven wins in that span. Those 15 points have moved Syracuse from the out house in the North Division to just five points back of leading Rochester with two games in hand on the Americans.

What I'm saying is, Ben Groulx is some kind of powerful warlock.
