Panik’s linemate, Eric Wellwood (Flyers), had four goals in the game. DeCoste notched his first assist of the season in the loss.

Hutchings failed to register a point in a game for the fifth time this season.

A big win for Ottawa. Sointu has been nursing a sore foot caused by a blocked shot.

Ashton extended his point streak to three games, albeit in a bad loss to last place Seattle. Lethbridge found themselves down 4-1 entering the third period, but despite a 15-2 shot advantage in the period couldn’t come all the way back.

Moncton Wildcats 5 @ Rouyn-Noranda Huskies 3
D Mark Barberio, MCT: 0-0-0, +1, 0 PIM, 2 SOG
Season totals: 16 GP, 1-10-11, +2, 20 PIM
Moncton took control of a back-and-forth game and held on for the win, scoring an empty netter late on the power play.
OHL
Sault Ste Marie Greyhounds 5 @ Erie Otters 1
RW Kyle DeCoste, SSM: Did not play.
Season totals: 9 GP, 1-0-1, -1, 20 PIM
DeCoste returned to the lineup Friday, but was back out Saturday. The Greyhounds broke their six game losing streak.
Brampton Battalion 1 @ Barrie Colts 3
LW/C Alex Hutchings, BAR: 0-1-1, E, 0 PIM

Hutchings’ assist came on the power play.
WHL Note: Last spring the Lightning chose not to sign Edmonton Oil Kings goalie Torrie Jung. The prospect was coming off a good season and an impressive showing against No.1 seed Calgary in the playoffs when the decision was made. This season, Jung returned to Edmonton as an overager. He's currently 3-7-0-2 with a 3.30 GAA, .904 save percentage, and a shutout. Edmonton is 6-8-0-2 on the year.

Note: Lightning prospect defenseman Mark Barberio has been named to Team QMJHL for the 2009 Subway Super Series vs. Team Russia. This will be Barberio's first appearance in the annual all-star event. The QMJHL portion of the series begins November 16. Russia will then play Team OHL and Team WHL. Rosters for the latter two have yet to be announced.

Season totals: 11 GP, 1-6-7, E, 14 PIM
The Rocket scored twice in the third period, including an empty netter, to clinch a win in New Brunswick. Barberio extended his points streak to three games with his assist. The Wildcats are 8-4-0-1 on the year.

Sarnia’s Jordan Hill (undrafted) broke a 2-2 tie with a power play goal midway through the third period.

Thirteen goals, yet our two Lightning prospects failed to register a point. This was the third straight scoreless game for Panik, who’s in a bit of a slump.

The Greyhounds have lost three straight and have fallen one point behind Windsor for first in the West Division.

Hutchings had his five game point streak snapped. Steven Shipley scored both goals for the Attack. He’s expected to go somewhere in the late first or second round of next summer’s draft.

Zador ran his shutout streak to five periods before Kingston scored at the 7:02 mark of the third period. That’s two wins (and starts) in a row for Zador.
