DeCoste scored the game's opening goal on the power play in his first game as a Bull, but Belleville couldn’t hang on to 2-0 and 3-2 leads and get a win. The Bulls lost the shootout 2-0 and now stand at 6-11-1-1 on the year, two points ahead of Ottawa for fourth in the East Division. DeCoste, who scored when he banged home a rebound off his own shot, now has a two game goal streak and three game point streak.

He’s already nearing his career high for assists in a season, set last year at 20. He also had 30 goals and 50 points in 70 games last year.

Panik shot second in the shootout, but hit the post. It was the second straight shootout loss for the defending Memorial Cup champs, though they still lead the league in points at 13-3-0-3.
