Janus put forth another strong effort, but without ECHL leading scorer Mitch Fadden the Everblades could only muster one goal in support of the Slovakian goaltender. For the Everblades to win consistently with Fadden out indefinitely, they’ll have to continue to get stellar efforts from Janus and Bobby Goepfert in net.

From the boxscore, it appears the Blades only dressed 14 skaters (five defensemen). Among those missing was Alex Hutchings, who remains out with a lower body injury. Mitch Fadden extended his point streak to seven games, though he’s “just” registered a single point in his last four contests. He continues to lead the league in scoring by 11 over teammate Francis Lemieux.

Florida was down 3-0 early and never could make a comeback. Fadden hit the 50-point mark for the season with a second period assist. With the Lightning’s acquisition of Dwayne Roloson, the goaltending dominoes in the organization will send Jaroslav Janus back to Southwest Florida in the coming days. Alex Hutchings remains out with a lower body injury.
