Hockey's a painfully frustrating sport when the other team doesn't have to work as hard as you do to score goals. No organization knows that better than the Lightning's given how much it struggled at the goaltending position the first two decades of its existence. Of the five goaltenders who have appeared in net for the Crunch this season, not a one had a .900 or better save percentage. In this day and age, you can't win games with that. Can't do it.

Ben Groulx can take pride in how his team responded to falling into a 3-1 hole given the struggles they've had against this particular opponent in that particular arena. A moment like this where the team can show resiliency is going to pay dividends down the road this season when they face different sets of adversity.

At 32 points in the standings, Syracuse is catching up to the logjam of three teams tied for third in the North Division at 33 points.

Cory Conacher, Luke Witkowski, and Ross Colton were the game's three stars.

Syracuse came into this game a little embarrassed, a little ticked, and a lot hungry, and they took it out on Laval early and often. Good on the Crunch to also go ahead and put the game away early in the Third Period with the soul destroying PP goal to quell any comeback hopes by the Rocket. That's what good teams do.
