Artem Sergeev had his point streak snapped at four games as Guy Boucher’s former junior club topped the Foreurs, 3-2. Sergeev is plus-10 in his last five games.

Note: Nikita Kucherov (pictured, Quebec) remains out with a shoulder injury, but was cleared by Lightning doctors yesterday. He is expected back within the next week.

Brampton outshot the IceDogs 39-26 but came out on the losing end of an overtime decision. Blujus’ scoreless streak reached five games.

The Petes lost their fourth consecutive one-goal game. Koekkoek is tied for second on the club in points with seven. Center Francis Menard (undrafted) leads with 12. Unfortunately, Koekkoek’s minus-10 rating is worst on the team; the closest to him is minus-5. The Petes are a struggling team and Koekkoek logs significant ice time.

Blainville-Boisbriand dropped their second game of the season in regulation when they allowed four third period goals to Victoriaville on Sunday. The Armada came into the weekend as the CHL’s second-ranked team. They led 2-1 entering the third period.

Brampton got a much-needed win by beating visiting Saginaw on Sunday. Blujus’ scoreless streak hit four games.

Peterborough has played inspired hockey since Koekkoek spoke out about the negativity in the locker room, but the Petes continue to come up short in games. On Sunday they allowed a late shorthanded goal to Guelph that forced overtime before the Storm won it in the extra session. Lightning prospect Tanner Richard did not play. He received a game misconduct penalty last game for instigating a fight in the final five minutes of regulation.

There was no let-down for the Armada after being top-ranked Quebec last game out, as they crushed Sherbrooke, 7-0. Paquette is now over a point per game pace on the season. His fifth goal of the young season was scored in the first period and gave the Armada a 3-0 lead. Blainville-Boisbriand (7-1-0-1) was ranked second in the latest CHL Top 10, one spot behind Quebec.

Val-d’Or Foreurs 3 @ Moncton Wildcats 4

Artem Sergeev extended his point streak to three games with an assist, but Val-d’Or couldn’t overcome two two-goal deficits to defeat the Wildcat in Moncton. Allain Saulnier (undrafted) had two goals for Moncton. Sergeev is plus-6 in his last two games.

Note: Nikita Kucherov (Quebec) remains out with a shoulder injury. He is expected back before the end of the month.

Brampton avoided Bruins first rounder Malcolm Subban, who got the night off for Belleville, but Subban’s backup, Charlie Graham (2013), stopped 30 shots to earn a shutout win. Brampton is last in the league in goals per game at 1.78 per contest.

Tanner Richard (pictured) had three assists for the second time in three games to lead the Storm to a home win over Erie. Richard was thrown out of the game for starting a fight in the last five minutes of regulation.

Val-d’Or scored seven times against the Eagles for the second straight game, and for the second straight game Lightning prospect Artem Sergeev (pictured) had two points in a win. Sergeev scored twice on Wednesday night to give him three goals on the year. He had 12 shots on goal during the last two games.

Blujus had his modest 2-game point streak snapped in a brutal overtime loss to Mississauga on Canadian Thanksgiving. Brampton allowed Mississauga to tie the game with a shorthanded goal in the final minute. Brett Foy (undrafted) had two goals for the newly named Steelheads, including the winner in the extra session. Blujus was on the ice for the overtime winner.
