Lashoff Recalled by Lightning

(Norfolk Admirals release) The Tampa Bay Lightning, NHL parent club of the Norfolk Admirals, have recalled defenseman Matt Lashoff from the Admirals on an emergency basis, Lightning Executive Vice President and General Manager Brian Lawton announced today.

Lashoff, a 6-foot-2, 205-pound defenseman from East Greenbush, New York, has appeared in 66 games with Norfolk this season, scoring seven goals and 23 points with 94 penalty minutes. He also has four power play goals and one game-winning goal. He ranks second among club defensemen in scoring and ranks second overall in penalty minutes.

Mihalik Recalled From Norfolk

The Tampa Bay Lightning have announced Norfolk defenseman Vladimir Mihalik has been recalled for the Lightning's Saturday night game against Buffalo. In 70 games for the Admirals this season, Mihalik has two goals, 15 assists for 17 points. He's also a plus-8 with 65 penalty minutes.

Janus, Parrish Switch Places, Bochenski on Re-Entry Waivers

(Norfolk Admirals release) The Tampa Bay Lightning, NHL parent club of the Admirals, have reassigned goaltender Jaroslav Janus to the Admirals and have recalled forward Mark Parrish from the Admirals, Lightning Executive Vice President and General Manager Brian Lawton announced today.

In addition, the Admirals have released goaltender Matt Lundin from his Professional Tryout Contract (PTO).

Szczechura Clears Waivers

After being reassigned to the Norfolk Admirals at the beginning of the week on a conditioning assignment, the Tampa Bay Lightning placed prospect forward Paul Szczechura on waivers on Thursday. Szczechura cleared waivers at noon on Friday and will remain with the Norfolk Admirals.

Szczechura has 6 goals and 8 assists in 16 games with the Admirals this season, while scoring twice and adding an assist in 37 games with the Lightning.
