BoltProspects: Palat talked about seeing and speaking with Richard Panik, whom he lived with, before leaving to join TB. Appreciated the scouting report.

BoltProspects: After praising 44 and 89 for working the puck to him late in the 3rd for a chance at go-ahead goal, Palat on hitting iron: "Too bad."

BoltProspects: Credited Nate Thompson, as well, for working with him on and off the ice to help him get to speed, adjust.

BoltProspects: Palat talked about how special it was to play alongside Conacher, a guy he battled with in Norfolk and Syracuse over past 2 seasons.

BoltProspects: Particularly in relation to the goalie play TB endured for most of the 1st half of last season.

BoltProspects: Just think: if TB had gotten tonight's results from Lindback (2 GA, .929 SV%) in 75% of his starts so far, we'd be talking wunderkind.

BoltProspects: @QuickNESS15 Malone also made a nice play hustling to the puck, winning a battle and zipping a pass to 26 who fed 91 for TB's lone goal.

BoltProspects: @PaulFox13 He didn't steal the game but did give TB a chance to win. That's all we were asking for last season, wasn't it?

BoltProspects: @QuickNESS15 Thought Malone looked pretty good tonight. Kept up with the play, physical presence and strong on the puck. Played his game.

BoltProspects: 1 goal isn't going to win you many games in this league. It's not like TB wasn't without its share of quality chances. Couldn't pot them.

BoltProspects: After potting 5 goals against NJ, TB could only muster 1 tonight. Went 0-5 on the PP, including a full 5v3. There's the real story, folks.

BoltProspects: So, if we're going to whine about the 2nd goal, at least lament the play of all involved.
